The food is true home cooked style grandma the owner is the best tell her time the army guy from California says hi !!!!
No hope to be open soon. Really great food
This place is amazing, and nice. Grandma is a sweet lady with a lovely husband. The food was excellent. We'll be back.
It was fine. The staff was pleasant and and it was clean. The food wasn't bad and the biscuits and gravy were very good.
The food was of mediocre quality. I had an omelette. The coffee was great! Never coming back.
Biscuits and gravy! If that's what you're craving they can take care of that for you. The gravy is so creamy and seasoned just right. I'll definitely be back to try out more from their menu.
Food was good, large portion. My eyes were hungrier then my stomach. Good service, was pretty busy when I arrived. Was in no rush.
Grandmas kitchen is a lovely hole in the wall that I wish I would have discovered sooner. It’s absolutely small so that was a bit of an issue and the bathroom was under construction at the time so we had to use the store next door. But I can’t hold that against them as sometimes life just happens! However, it definitely reminded me of sitting in my grandmothers house! The cooking was very “home cooked” style which was fabulous. We went there for breakfast and the prices are insanely cheap. Came out with maybe $20 max with a good tip. They forgot a portion of my order but immediately corrected it and had it out within 5 min! Quaint and cute for a cheap and yummy breakfast!
Very nice people. Not impressed on the food I ordered the bacon mushroom spinach omelet it had a good amount of bacon very little mushrooms only on half of omelet maybe five pieces but cut in tiny pieces and way too much frozen spinach it was overpowering with old tasting spinach which you can tell it was frozen not fresh leaves at all. The potatoes were bland and some not cooked. Funny thing I heard the chef tell a table how he has cooked for over 30 years and only uses fresh ingredients. I was treating myself and realized I should of just cooked myself. Also if you do go please look over you check at the end. They charged me the wrong price. Glad I notice definitely didn't want to pay more for that meal. Coffee is really good though.
Stopped in for the first time to have some breakfast with my little one and Julie and Don took great care of us. Try the amazing biscuits and gravy and the French toast. The bacon is so amazing too! Thank you so much!!
Much better since the new ownership! Food was delicious, owners were so pleasant. Will definitely be back again soon!
Was really good and newly decorated
Such a great experience. Operated by a Wonderful couple!! Gourmet food at reasonable prices. Immaculate. Friendly. Fresh. Delicious! Julia and her husband, the chef were delightful!! Great experience. Very downhome!!
Richard was too kind. The food was mediocre, I never was even asked for a refill on my OJ after my glass sat empty for over 30 minutes, the bathroom was out of service and I had to get up 4 times to refill my own water glass. "Chef Don"...rethink taking a breakfast break at 9:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning.
The place is really cozy. I love the home style cooking.
Small friendly environment with polite, kind staff and great food. I enjoyed the visit with my young daughter and they were very patient with us.
This was a real surprise! A nice little place in the mini-mall that feels like home. Food was excellent, like homemade, not like a regular restaurant. If you're in the area, give it a try! Even if you're not, stop by!
Waited 15 minutes while they were chatting in the back and when I asked for help I got yelled by the man working. they had 3 customers waiting and the phone kept ringing and continued to ignore everybody.
We are regulars and always love talking to the owners. Excited for the expansion
Face masks not worn by staff, no distancing with tables, nothing changed to keep staff and customers safe. If that is what you are looking for, great place.
Maybe some people Grandma’s kitchen is like this but mine were not. We sat right down to a full restaurant but that was as far as it went. The waitress walked by several times. No eye contact. No acknowledgement. Nothing. Let me add, I got it that it was a full restaurant of maybe ten tables for two staff members that I saw. Not as if she had all the tables. That being said, everything would have been ok if she would have acknowledged us. “Be right with you... Give me a few...”. Something. To get nothing but silence and then get attitude when my sister in law walked up from to get menu’s I was ready to leave and we did. Their sign says “Under New Management.” Looks to me they need a new new management. I’d recommending to bypass them and continue down Brown to Cracker’s. NE corner of Brown/Greenfield.
My wife and I were looking for and alternative to the mainstream restaurants. Being safe it's a big concern for us. Clean environment respectful owners. And food was delicious.
Had a amazing meal and That nick guy was very charming and a hard worker! Enjoyed my experience, would recomend and will visit again!
Very good food, friendly staff, practices social distancing.
Great little place to eat. Been coming here for over a year on weekends when want to grab something simple and fast. We have tried many of the things on the ment and nothing is ever bad. So far my favourite has to be the French toast but a close second would be the Denver omelette, but I did sausage for ham.
First visit, ordered short stack meal came with 2 pancakes 2 eggs 2 sausage patties and I got some potatoes. Time wise was great, food came out in a timely manner. Quality was on par with anywhere you can get breakfast. Pancakes were huge i couldn't finish it all. I will be back to try the biscuits and gravy. Cost of food seamed to be fair in my opinion. Thank you guys, see you again soon.
Stopped in for the first time this morning. The food was quite tasty and the portions were quite large. There was a self serve water station and one pitcher was flavored with watermelon and lemon (I think) which was delightful. The man who greeted me was very nice and friendly. If the server had been better, this would have been a five star review. She wasn't particularly friendly or attentive and seemed over stressed, even though it wasn't busy. I'll definitely be back, because the food really was good and maybe she was just having an off day.
This place is a little hole in the wall with GREAT food. We had a cheese omelet which came with home fries and wonderful sourdough toast. We also got a side of sausage and a side of grits. I'm here to tell you, they have the best grits in the southwest! The owner and the waitress are very attentive. The cook (co-owner) even came out to make sure everything was okay. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because we had to wait a while for our meal. But it was well worth it 👌
Not the same since the new management took over. I was saddened to find out "Grandma" doesn't own this place anymore. I didn't realize it until I sat down and I thought the whole place just felt different. I noticed all the family photos on the walls were gone! The staff not as welcoming. Grandma's presence is strongly missed. My favorite dish was always grandma's quiche which she always made herself. I should've known better than to try and order it, knowing grandma didn't prepare it. It was so bad I had to send it back. The quiche always comes with fruit and I was still charged $7.99 for the fruit! Although the staff was friendly and everything else was okay, I highly doubt that I'll be returning. Grandma & Grandpa...you'll be missed. 😪
Loved the place and the Reuben sandwich. Wonderful time talking with staff too.
Not Crazy, about the food. It's been awhile, but I order chicken fried steak for breakfast. To go.The chicken was passed it's date.Wouldn't be going back. The service was great, food Nooo.
This cute little cafe was amazing from the moment we walked in!! Very cute and homey feeling, greeted with a friendly server and seated... My husband & I were excited to try a few things so we ordered two breakfasts and shared.. The amount of food will not disappoint the hearty eater! The eggs were fluffy, the bacon crisp, the french toast fluffy & moist, the biscuits and gravy were homeade & delicious! The owner was very sweet & friendly and it was fun to hear the history of how they got started.. The cook is amazing and has 35+years experience and this is definitely a place we will be going regularly at least weekly!! Would love to give 10 stars but 5 is the most you can give. A perfect start to our day I am so glad we found this treasure!! 💜💜
Very good food. Soup was delicious. Just wish they had a cheeseburger 😊
Great cup of coffee any time of the day.
The food was decent and the atmosphere was super quirky. However the service was not able to handle all the customers.
Been here a couple times because my mom loves it but the food is mediocre and the owner (I believe) tells her personal business way too much and talks bad about other customers and employees. Unprofessional
Family run. Not just diner food. Owner is chef quality. Not fast just very good. Yellow fluffy eggs in the omelette. Fresh cracked eggs. Country gravy without the aftertaste.
This place is amazing not only are the owners wonderful, (whom also serve you food) but the food is FABULOUS !!! Quick n fast service as well. Pictures don't do it justice 😊😋 go in an taste for yourself!!
Fast service. So friendly. The food was so delicious!! Definitely my place to go for breakfast.
I give this a 1 (I will change once the issue is addressed) I found grandma's online and drove 18 mins with my two kiddos, only to find out it's closed for renovations. If someone could update the hours on google and online that would be helpful. Thanks
What it lacks in decor, it definitely makes up for in food quality. Best biscuits and gravy I've had in a very long time. Eggs were fluffy and sausage was perfect. Great coffee too! Can't wait to see the expansion starting next week. Well done guys!
It definitely defines itself as a place for older people to enjoy. I think it has some potential to be open for more clientele but I find the service to be a little laxed, and it's inhibiting it's progress.Hoewever, on the other side I realize that location is not in its favor. I managed to find it and enjoy the delicious food, but the service needs to be improved a little.Props to the chef, it is still great food.
Loved it great decor big improvement
Great food and service. We are always on the lookout for small business to support. We found Grandmas Kitchen just after the new management took over. It's always a good experience.
Biscuit and gravy was amazing. Thre hometown gently atmosphere was incredible. Looking forward to going back soon.
Quick service and tasty omelette !
Friendly staff and excellent service. A great breakfast joint.
Super yummy love the new decor
Oh my goodness!! A must try restaurant! Everything made fresh and from scratch. Reuben was the best I have ever had Sauerkraut not over vinegary. Potato Salad was fantastic. French Toast looked amazing on my friends plate so I grabbed a piece from her and it was amazing. Lemonade is literally fresh squeezed and raspberry flavor is fresh raspberry puree not syrup.
The wait for the food was way too long. However, the food was delicious, just not worth the wait. Also, the prices are a little too high for a strip mall cafe. You have to serve yourself, your own coffee and water, not worth the 26 bucks for two breakfast meals.
Wow! The frittata is AMAZING! So. Much. Fresh. Fruit. And. Veggies. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great place for breakfast at a fantastic price.
We eat here every other Sunday! We love Grandma's Kitchen! My kids and I love the breakfast! I'm posting pictures this time. I order the busicuits and gravy combo Every time! So good! Great price!
